The weeks are flying by, especially since this was a short week. Zico has been doing some amazing swimming this week and is swimming by himself in deep water!
The window crayons and white board proved popular again and we were thrilled that Zico did some more drawings. He is still drawing super heros and villains. Can you spot Marsian Manhunter.

This week Zico had to go to Birchwood School with Daddy. He had a great time collecting an egg from the chickens and joining in with some guided reading groups. Zico read a book called My Sister so well with the group that we bought it home for him to read again.
We have been loving winter sunrises from our living room and winter sunsets too. Since we are awake for both of them (This doesn't happen in summer!). Here is Zico enjoying some stick fighting whilst watching the sunset at the beach.
We tried to fly a kite but the wind had all died down so Zico had the idea to run with the kite to get it to fly. This worked really well until he got too puffed.
A visit to founder meant using the old fashioned phone box. Zico loves speaking to Daddy on the phone even if he finds it tricky to talk and listen at the same time.
The have installed a new round about up the road so we went and tried it out. It was great fun and Zico's first time at making a roundabout go by himself using his foot. On our local walk we have been taking notice of street numbers and talking about odd and even numbers. Zico knows that his age is an even number.
Playing with Dinosaurs is still very popular with Zico. He has invented side games off our regular game. We now have a new series to play called Fire Proofs many adventures. Zico tells me this actually comes before Stomp (the usual game) so we have gone back in time to before the mummy was married and gave birth to her eggs! Zico's writing when he is with me is nearly always about Dinosaurs too. He has talked about their names, where they live, what they eat and what they do. These ideas have always been his own. It is lovely to see him look back over his work and read his old stories to help him decide what to write about.
The Neighbours up the road have a new puppy that needs walking whilst they are at work so we said we would take Zico and try it out. Zico wrote about it " I am going to see a puppy today."
Can you spot the full moon rising up over the hill just next to a tree. We have been enjoying the view from our new house and this experience of watching a full moon rise was a new one for Zico.
