Literacy: Zico has been following along to more stories on our car journeys. He always manages to find the right page and is totally engaged in the stories. This week he took one of his reading books called Purr-fect to Nana and Grandad's house to read to them. He read it twice, once to each of them and was very proud of himself. This week we have also started a poetry book. Zico loved the first poem so much. It was silly and about Pie. This inspired us to make apple and raisin pie in the afternoon. Zico taught Daddy how to make the pies.
Health: Zico loves fresh seasonal fruit and was super excited to try the biggest fejoas he had ever seen.
Zico copied the symbol for The Flash from the cover of this book I am reading.
Zico has been enjoying doing some number mazes in his star wars maths book. He is learning to recognise the teen numbers.
Zico's swimming is progressing so fast now. Zico can do lots of swimming on his own and floating on his own too. He really loves his lessons.
We bought some new paint this week and Zico painted some of his dinosaur characters; Death Spine and Reddots.
Zico also had a go at following my instructions with pastel and paint to make an autumn tree. This is the type of Art that we often do at school. He enjoyed his own creations way more!
A visit to queens garden to feed the ducks became even more exciting when we found some painted rocks. Next week we need to paint some of our own and then go and hide them all for someone else to find.
Zico was learning about the male and female ducks and how the ducks have a bill not a beak.
Here is the pie making.
